Neurodevelopmental Disorders: Assessment, Interventions, and Evidence-Based Treatment Planning

This 4-week hybrid course provides a comprehensive exploration of neurodevelopmental disorders across the lifespan, with a focus on accurate assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment planning. Participants will examine disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Intellectual Disability, Communication Disorders, and Specific Learning Disorders, as well as associated comorbidities and functional challenges.

The course integrates theoretical, neurobiological, and psychosocial perspectives to help clinicians understand developmental trajectories, risk and protective factors, and the impact of these disorders on adaptive functioning, academic performance, social relationships, and family systems. Participants will develop skills in conducting structured assessments, differential diagnosis, and comprehensive biopsychosocial evaluations.

Evidence-based interventions—including behavioral, cognitive-behavioral, social skills training, parent-mediated interventions, and individualized educational strategies—will be emphasized. The hybrid format combines live interactive sessions, recorded lectures, applied exercises, case consultations, and reflective assignments, equipping participants to design individualized treatment plans, implement interventions, and support clients and families across multiple settings.

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

• Accurately identify and diagnose neurodevelopmental disorders using DSM-5-TR criteria
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, including developmental history, functional evaluation, and family/systemic impact
• Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment and intervention plans tailored to client needs
