Inspiration behind the book

Growing up, I read a lot of inspiring fiction and nonfiction stories. These stories painted positive images in my mind and gave me hope for a bright future. Sometimes, while thinking about a certain character in one of the many books I read, I would say to myself, "If Ada could make it despite all the challenges that came her way, I too can." 

I thought of ways to best inspire girls like myself, and storytelling struck me. Being a girl who grew up in Africa, more specifically in Nigeria, I have had first-hand experience with what could be defined as some of the human, environmental, political, economic, and social limitations that girls face; hence, I am happy to illustrate a few of them through this book.

About the book

Stories forher is a collection of stories that reflect experiences of teenage girls. From friendships, family, and career to child marriage, abuse, peer pressure, etc.

The experiences contained herewith are easily relatable for girls in Africa and developing countries around the world. As such, it will inspire and encourage girls to pursue their dreams regardless of the challenges they face.
