The Façade Nigeria Periodical is a compilation of intriguing information regarding Nigeria’s history circa 1800s-mid 20th century.

History has is that prior to the end of the Nigerian Civil War, Nigeria celebrated Remembrance Day every November 11 before it was changed to January 15.

In this month’s issue, we remember the Nigerians of The Nigeria Regiment that fought in the Second World War through a picture gallery of their memorial headstones.

We chronicle the Celebration of the Separation of Lagos from the West African Settlements in 1886; Ladies League Ball in July 1901, as well as proceedings of the Lagos Masonic Lodge (English Constitution) No. 1171 for September, October and November 1888, and an important ordination ceremony at Christ Church, Marina (now known as the Cathedral Church of Christ, Lagos) in March 1884.

Coming up in December is A VERY AFRO BRAZILIAN CHRISTMAS where we include a gallery of pictures from Fanti Carnival 2022, as we look forward to 2023’s edition.

We hope to see you guys again in December.
