The Local Boy with International Sense
The Local Boy with International Sense
A Coming-of-Age Memoir of Identity, Ambition, and Becoming.
At five, he lost his father.
At seven, he left home.
His village was the world he knew.
Then the world began to expand.
New places. New people. New expectations. And, somewhere along the way, a boy began becoming someone he could never have predicted.
But growing up is rarely a straight line. Some discoveries change how you see the world. Others force you to see yourself differently.
Behind every new chapter of life was another version of him—some familiar, some unexpected, and some he might never have imagined becoming.
Seventeen identities. Countless turning points. One unfinished story.
What happens when the life ahead of you takes you far beyond the world you once knew? How much of who you become is shaped by where you come from, the choices you make, and the people you meet along the way?
In The Local Boy with International Sense, Jebose Eboha opens a window into a life shaped by ambition, discovery, contradictions, and the unpredictable business of becoming.
A journey rooted in an African childhood, but reaching into questions of identity, belonging, success, and what it really means to find your place in the world.
Not a story of having it all figured out, but of living, learning, and discovering that the person you set out to become may not be the person you eventually meet.
The village gave him roots.
The world widened his horizons.
The rest is a story of becoming.
