The wages is a play set in the late eighties about Ezinwanne, a young beautiful village girl who got attracted to the glitz and glamour of urban Lagos life. She believed so much in her Lagos dreams that she sacrificed precious relationship and values to have a taste of the big city-girl life. Of course, She achieved her Lagos dreams and became very rich but it costed her more than she bargained for.
The wages she eventually got for all her actions taught her the lesson that only life experience can teach one: that there is more to life than being rich and famous. There is a purpose for life and living for or against that purpose, has its wages.
