JOHN KANYONI~~" When we teach responsibility early, we train boys to take ownership and be accountable for their actions. The question is, is your son waiting to be told what to do, or does he take an initiative on his own? That answer should tell you a lot, because responsibility is not just about duties or chores. It's about ownership of life. It's about him knowing what to do at the right time and doing it right. Now, I worked with a boy whose parents kept complaining he's always on his phone, he's lazy, he doesn't care, he spent too much time on online games. But when I sat with the boy, I discovered something different. He was learning AI online. He was building small projects and even making his own money. He had his own clients, but no one had ever asked him what he does. They just assumed and accused him of spending online time playing games and watching movies. And over the time, he stopped explaining, he withdrew, and he became the problem child. Now, here's the truth most parents miss. Boys don't become responsible by being controlled. They become responsible by being trusted and guided. Now, if every move is corrected, if every mistake is punished, if every decision is made for him, don't be surprised when he grows up and does nothing on his own but waits for instructions, because that's the way you trained him. So what do we do instead? "
