Faith is easy to talk about when life is going well. The deeper question comes when the prayer seems unanswered, the door remains closed, temptation becomes strong, suffering becomes heavy, or circumstances appear to contradict what you believe.
WHEN FAITH IS TESTED takes the reader into those difficult places without promising an easy life or guaranteed outcomes. Through five Parts and twenty-one chapters, the book examines the purpose of testing, the difference between testing and temptation, the anatomy of temptation, the way of escape, spiritual resistance, repentance and restoration, suffering, perseverance, God's apparent silence, joy in the storm, and the strength found in Christian community.
The book then turns to Abraham, Job, Jesus and Paul as biblical examples of faith under pressure. Their stories show surrender, worship, victory over temptation, sufficient grace and faithful endurance. Peter's failure and restoration also reinforce the message that falling does not have to become the final chapter.
Throughout, the emphasis remains on Jesus rather than on formulas for controlling circumstances. God may change a situation, sustain a believer through it, or work in ways the believer does not immediately understand. The call is to remain faithful, receive grace, seek wisdom and help when necessary, and keep walking with Christ.
WHEN FAITH IS TESTED is ultimately an invitation to move from faith that is merely spoken to faith that has been lived—and from tested faith to testimony.
