At some point in life, we all go through experiences that redefine how we see the world. For me, living with my father was one of those moments. It was more than just a father-daughter experience—it was a lesson in relationships, in love, in loss, and in understanding what it truly means to build a home.
I lived with my Dad for some years, and in that time, I unknowingly stepped into the reality of what marriage entails. I saw firsthand why so many relationships crumble, why broken homes are common, and how deeply these fractures affect children and the society around us. It was my first time living closely with a male figure. For years, I navigated what it meant to be raised by a single parent, to witness struggles unspoken, to see sacrifices made in silence. If I had decided to marry before that experience, I would have stepped into an entirely different world—one I was not prepared for.
Beyond getting to know my father, I was exposed to the complexities of men, to the things we are often not told. I realized that so many young people—just like me—are trying to make sense of relationships, struggling with the absence of a parent, and questioning love, family, and commitment.
Which is why this book was born. Not just as a reflection of my journey, but as a guide for those who, like me, are searching for understanding, healing, and a way forward.
If you’ve ever found yourself in the midst of uncertainty—about love, about family, about your place in the world—then this book is for you. It is a voice in the storm, a light in the dark, and a reminder that even in brokenness, wholeness is possible!
This is my gift to you, join me as we embrace our brokenness and journey into healing.
