Yorùbá Yé Mi (Apá Kínní) is an important book for understanding the basics of the Yorùbá language. The alphabets of the language, the types (consonants and vowels), along with syllables and how to form words, are also included in the book.

This book covers the essential topics that make up sentences in the language, viz: nouns, verbs, pronouns, conjunctions, and adverbs. Ìwé yìí kún fún àwọn orí-ọ̀rọ̀ pàtàkì tó jẹ́ kókó nínú ìhun gbólóhùn èdè Yorùbá bíi: ọ̀rọ̀-orúkọ, ọ̀rọ̀-ìṣe, ọ̀rọ̀-arọ́pò orúkọ, ọ̀rọ̀-àsopọ̀ àti ọ̀rọ̀-àpọ́nlé.

Pabanbarì rẹ̀ ni pé, ìwé yìí ní àlàyé kíkún àti ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ iṣẹ́ ṣíṣe tí yóò fi ìmọ̀ àwọn orí-ọ̀rọ̀ wọ̀nyí múlẹ̀. Òǹkà Yorùbá àti bí a ṣe leè kọ wọ́n láti oókan (1) títí dé àádọ́ta ọ̀kẹ́ (1,000,000) wà nínú apá kínní yìí bákan náà.
