His Worship

Understanding the Worth of the One we Worship

Sadly, but truly, it has become common to hear people say things like, "Let's be in the mood of worship." Worship is not a mood to be in; it's a life we live, which could be expressed in several ways to include, our giving, speaking words and singing.

It's just the same way we find a bunch of persons who are still not able to differentiate Thanksgiving from Praise and Praise from Worship. The prevailing view held by many is that Praise has a fast-tempo and Worship is done with a slow tempo. How could that be?

The difference between Worship and Praise, for instance, are words. The words of the song determine whether it is Worship or Praise. Praise talks about what Who God is.

Thanksgiving makes reference to what God does and Worship centres on God's Awesomeness and His Glory.

When it has to do with Worship, you are referring to His Presence, His Glory, His Holiness and the likes.

Furthermore, Thanksgiving is the celebration of God's Power, Praise is the celebration of God's Person, and Worship is the Celebration of God's Presence. Beloved, our words in worship matter to God, you don't joke with words when it comes to His worship.

In this resource, you will:

• Come to understand why you should read a book on the subject of worship.

• Understand why worship goes beyond singing and lifting your hands to a melodious song.

• Come to understand that knowledge and understanding must precede true and acceptable worship.

• Realize the various expressions of heartfelt worship.
