A critical pillar of that infrastructure is Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). Africa has long embraced relationship-centered approaches to conflict resolution, reflected in concepts such as Ubuntu and other indigenous traditions that view business not merely as transactions, but as relationships. In these traditions, the objective is not only to resolve disputes, but also to preserve and strengthen relationships while achieving fair outcomes.

The International Certified Mediator (CertMed) Training on November 27-28, 2026, is designed to equip participants with modern mediation and ADR skills while drawing on Africa's rich and enduring dispute resolution heritage.
