What’s really happening when a sale is abandoned

On Selar, a transaction starts when a customer clicks “Buy Now.” If they don’t complete the payment, whether they leave the page, their payment fails, or the session times out, it’s marked as abandoned.

This happens for simple reasons:

  • They got distracted
  • Their payment didn’t go through
  • Their network was unstable
  • They paused and didn’t come back

It’s not a rejection. It’s just an incomplete purchase.

  • Both you and the customer receive confirmation emails
