Title: Jobtech - Lagos Meetup | Powered by The Jobtech Alliance, Supported by Selar.

Unlocking success in a marketplace platform can feel like a never-ending puzzle: should you focus on attracting workers first or building demand from employers?

The Jobtech Alliance, steered by Mercy Corps & BFA Global, in partnership with Selar will be hosting the 'Jobtech - Lagos Meetup' on 31st October from 5 PM WAT at Grey Matter Social Space, Victoria Island to discuss how to crack the marketplace code.

The event aims at providing a space where the leading 'Jobtech' platforms and stakeholders in Nigeria can connect and share insights about scaling marketplaces while balancing the chicken-or-egg dilemma.

Our speakers include:

Oare Ehiemua-Ochui - CEO, LaborHack
Akinbola Asalu - Co-founder & CEO, Aktivate
Chinwe Udo-Davis - CEO & Co-Founder, Instollar
Damola Ajayi - Founder, Blueskills (fireside chat moderator)
Seyi William-Ogunbiyi - Product & Operations Lead, Selar

Key discussion topics will include:

Balancing Supply and Demand: Exploring strategies for growing the supply side (workers/providers) versus the demand side (clients/employers) and how each approach shapes platform success.
Tackling Early-Stage Challenges: Unpacking the unique hurdles and opportunities that founders encounter when launching a marketplace, and actionable insights on attracting users without tipping the balance.
Positioning for Investment: How founders can make their platform appealing to investors by effectively managing marketplace dynamics and demonstrating scalable, long-term growth potential.
