Politics matters because it is a means through which the world and its systems work. You can be a professional in your field of work or endeavors but in the end, you will be governed by politicians or people that may not be as outstanding as you are. So if our nation only presents its worst while the best shy away from politics, our economy will never grow.

The book "WE NEED YOU POOR SO THAT WE CAN RULE: The voice of the political manipulator" examines parts of the strategies the political manipulator explores to remain powerful while others shy away from politics. It takes specific interest in analyzing how poverty has affected our choices and ability to break the cycle of backwardness it has created, thereby exploring means of escape.

It is also a call for every Nigerian to participate in elections as it is the only means of choosing leaders who will lead us to “the promised land.”

It ends with the emphasis that no matter what we do, we should remember that politics is supreme. So, the need to really participate and shape the future should be highly prioritized.

You need to get involved in the process of selecting those who are to represent political parties and so on, so that the best will emerge.

For us young people who are singing the song of “Not Too Young To Rule,” no one will just give us power just like that, we have to get involved. We should not ask for a percentage like it is our right, we should get our hands involved. From the level of the political parties and not just hold our smart phones, form hash tags and raise our placards that we should be voted.

The book has some elements of satire that you will enjoy and learn from.
