AI Fluency: A Practical AI-Skills Program for Non-Technical Professionals

Most people learn AI by accident, a stray ChatGPT session here, a tip from a coworker there, a half-finished YouTube video at 11pm. It works, kind of. But it never adds up to a real skill, and it definitely doesn't feel like something you could put on a resume.

AI Fluency is different. It's a complete, self-paced ebook that takes you from "I use AI sometimes" to "I have an actual system" in 12 structured modules, with zero coding involved.

It was written for the majority of the workforce that AI courses usually ignore like marketers, HR and people teams, project managers, operations lead, analysts, administrators, and client-facing staff. If your job doesn't involve a keyboard full of brackets and semicolons, this book was built for you.

What makes it different

Most AI content falls into two buckets: hype ("AI will change everything!") or hacks ("Here are 100 prompts to copy and paste"). Neither one teaches you anything that survives contact with your actual job.

AI Fluency instead gives you a framework i.e. the same Task–Context–Format–Constraints structure, persona prompting, and prompt-chaining techniques used by people who get consistently excellent results and then has you apply it to your own real work, module by module, until it becomes second nature.

Every one of the 12 modules follows the same rhythm: a clear objective, the real-world case for why it matters, the core concept explained in plain language, a hands-on exercise using your actual tasks, a short knowledge check, and a takeaways page you'll come back to for months.

What's covered

The book moves through four phases, Foundations, Prompting, Applied Skills, and Judgment & Integration and covering everything from how large language models actually work, to writing and research, to spreadsheets and presentations, to the responsible-use judgment calls that protect you and your organization. It closes with a capstone project and a 30-60-90 day plan, so the learning doesn't stop when the book does.

Who it's for

If you're already expected to "use AI more" at work but nobody has ever actually shown you how, this is the book that fills that gap, at your own pace, without a single line of code.
