This story is for everyone who’s ever loved in silence and hoped to be seen.

Tunde is a gifted artist trying to survive Lagos—He keeps his head down, avoids attachment, and hides his pain behind pencil sketches and unspoken dreams. Until one unexpected morning in a coffee shop, a girl named Mia walks in… and nothing is ever the same again.

Mia is chaos and sunlight, fierce and free, with a voice that carries joy and a presence that shifts everything around her. She doesn't just walk into Tunde's life; she rearranges it.

What begins as a chance connection slowly blossoms into a quiet friendship neither of them saw coming.

But Mia never saw him—not truly.

Not the way he wished she would. Not the way he saw her.

When life hits hard and time runs thin, what happens to the love that was never confessed?

Faced with the impossible, Tunde makes a choice—one so radical, so gut-wrenching, it will redefine what love means.

In a world where time runs fast and second chances are rare, how far would you go to save the one person who taught you how to live?

HEARTBEAT is a soul-stirring, modern African love story woven with quiet humor, heartbreak, and hope. Told in poetic prose and voice-over confessions, it is a hauntingly tender story about timing, vulnerability, explores the depths of human connection, the madness of love, and the quiet sacrifices we make for the ones we love—without ever saying the words.

Perfect for fans and lovers of emotionally rich fiction that lingers long after the final page. This unforgettable story will break your heart and heal it in the same breath.
