Aluta Continua! is a visual book that unearths some of the most iconic letters, posters, pamphlets, and ephemera from the Archives of the Nigerian Left.

Chronicling the shifting aesthetics of radical pro-democracy and liberation struggle in Nigeria — from the period of anti-colonial nationalism till the early years of Nigeria's current Fourth Republic — the book offers an alternative history of Nigerian democracy; one written not by politicians and generals, but by the people who organized, resisted, and refused to forget. It reminds us that the fight for justice is not a singular event but an unfinished project, one whose archives we are still learning to read.

In spite of monumental obstacles, a tradition of leftist thought, activism, and movement building emerged amid Nigeria's struggle for independence — a tradition struggling, often underground and in the face of repression, for the liberation of their class, their country, their continent, and the planet. This political tradition pioneered a rousing visual style and a bold and distinct print and material heritage which would have been lost to history were it not for the determined labour -- and love -- of a handful of movement activists whose archives have recently been rediscovered. This book is an exploration, and celebration, of Nigeria's archives of popular struggle.

- Standard International Shipping via DHL: Estimated delivery within 7-14 business days. International deliveries depend on the total weight of the books ordered. Extra delivery fee for orders with a maximum weight of 2kg and above.
