A GLANCE THROUGH THE INSIDE

When the first generation of women entered the workforce in the 1970s, they did the only thing possible - by imitating men. Authoritarian leadership and strict control were the hallmarks of entrepreneurs at the time, and women were not welcome in the leadership ranks. Well, ladies, it was yesterday, and today is!

It takes a certain mindset and courage for anyone to start their own business and thrive, but it is even more difficult for a female entrepreneur. Let's be honest women! We always have to be twice as smart and twice as confident as other men in the corporate world. After all, if we can survive and nurture the next generation, how can running a successful business scare us?

After mentoring many aspiring small entrepreneurs, I realized a very disturbing fact. Many highly intelligent and hopeful female entrepreneurs have crossed the threshold of my office mistakenly believing that being a woman alone gives them an advantage over their male counterparts. Unfortunately, this is not as true as they believe.

Sure, today's female population is much better off than their mothers or grandmothers, but getting financial support/loans is not viewed differently by bankers than by male entrepreneurs.

Over the years, a myth has circulated that leads entrepreneurs to believe that women and minority-owned businesses can access credit more easily. Unfortunately, this is just a myth.

Both men and women in the corporate world have much in common when it comes to career aspirations. However, the playing field was far from level. A recent study was conducted by a non-profit research group called Catalyst. Male and female executives from the 1,000 largest companies in the United States were surveyed, and more than half of the women said they aspired to be CEOs. They are even self-sacrificing like B. Postponing marriage and/or children, and mere desire tells us the terrain is not flat.

Other findings from this study are as follows:

• 49.5% of all executives and specialists employed are women, but still only manage other women.

• The highest-paid female CEO still earns only 68% of her husband's salary.

• 62% of companies with female senior management teams say their market share is growing, compared to only 39% of companies without female senior management.

Technological advances should help bring more women into leadership positions. Computers allow women to work more flexibly and to better balance work and family life, which is not expected of their male counterparts. (How much is this?)

The so-called leadership qualities of women are becoming increasingly important in the 21st century, says more than 160 international companies and 75 executives for their companies' progress towards gender equality.

These business experts saw the skills in this new style as "more feminine than masculine" and therefore favored female managers. However, another 15-year study shows that female managers are no more inclusive or democratic than men when it comes to making decisions in the workplace.

Despite this grim fact, I don't want to discourage the future female entrepreneur. We female entrepreneurs know that we may have to work twice as much to earn half the recognition and salary, but ladies, statistics show that we will outlive our male counterparts.W e know that every woman who is a wife, mother, and also in business can do the job of two air traffic controllers without breaking a sweat even if the airport is on fire.

FINAL NOTE

If you want to succeed in your business, this precious book is for you. It took me almost a year to complete this case study on how to liberate individuals from Business setbacks, especially entrepreneurs that have been struggling for years in their businesses.
