Life comes with pressure - work stress, relationship / marital challenges, financial worries, emotional overload...
Sometimes, we carry things we don’t know how to explain.
Something is happening in your marriage; you feel like your family has already decided who you are; you feel less than others; work is becoming too much; you constantly seek validation; you feel rejected or like you don't belong; you’re angry, confused, overwhelmed or just tired.
You have a lot on your mind, but you don’t know where to start.
The Haven provides a private, no-judgement space where you can talk freely, unburden and begin to make sense of what you're carrying or the situation.
You can talk about whatever you’re carrying: marriage, family, work, relationships, identity, personal struggles, or just life.
.
This is a free 30-minute session, we have paid 30-minute and 60-minute sessions.
You talk. I listen. We make sense of it together.
If you’d like to have a conversation, book and a message and we’ll arrange a time.
If, from our conversation, it becomes clear that counselling, therapy, medical attention or another specialised form of support would be more appropriate, I will let you know and recommend the appropriate next step.
Your conversation will be treated with respect and confidentiality, within applicable ethical and professional boundaries.
If what you share indicates that you may need a different level or type of support, that will be discussed with you.
Is this therapy?
No. If counselling or therapy appears to be appropriate based on what you share, that can be discussed as a next step.
Do you give advice?
The Haven is not primarily an advice-giving session. The focus is on listening, understanding and helping you make sense of what you are experiencing.
Do I need to know exactly what my problem is before booking?
No.
Is it confidential?
Yes, within ethical and professional boundaries
Sometimes, you need somewhere to say the things you've been carrying without pretending you're fine.
