g. To send marketing communications where we have a lawful basis to do so. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time.
2.4 Lawful bases
Depending on the circumstances, we may process personal data because it is necessary to take steps at your request or perform a contract with you, to comply with a legal or professional obligation, for a legitimate interest that is not overridden by your rights and interests, or based on your consent where consent is the appropriate lawful basis.
2.5 Selar and other service providers
Our store is hosted on Selar. Selar and payment, scheduling, communications, cloud storage, or other service providers may process personal data in connection with your purchase or our delivery of the service. Their processing may also be governed by their own privacy notices and terms. We disclose only information reasonably necessary for the relevant service or where disclosure is otherwise lawful.
2.6 International transfers
Some technology or service providers may process or store personal data outside Nigeria. Where an international transfer occurs, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that the transfer is made in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements and that appropriate safeguards apply where required.
2.7 Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including service delivery, professional record-keeping, legal, regulatory, accounting, dispute-resolution and legitimate business requirements. Different categories of information may therefore have different retention periods.
2.8 Security and confidentiality
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, use, alteration, disclosure, loss or destruction. Information supplied in connection with legal services is also handled in accordance with applicable professional duties. No method of electronic transmission or storage can, however, be guaranteed to be completely secure.
2.9 Your rights
Subject to applicable law and any relevant exemptions, you may have rights to be informed about processing; request access to your personal data; request correction of inaccurate data; object to or restrict certain processing; request erasure where applicable; request data portability in appropriate circumstances; withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and raise a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
2.10 Requests and complaints
To exercise a data-protection right or raise a privacy concern, contact [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. You may also lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission where you consider that your data-protection rights have been infringed.
